Taiwan Television Enterprise, Ltd. (TTV) was founded on April 28, 1962, as the first commercial TV station in Taiwan. Its major business is the establishment and operation of a television broadcasting station, the production and broadcast of television programs and commercials, the design, manufacture, sale and maintenance of receiver and transmitter devices, the import of program and engineering materials, the publication of television-related books and magazines, and the operation and investment in business related to the television industry. TTV currently has an oversea branch in New York, and major foreign partners include CNN, the Associated Press, Reuters, and Fuji Television of Japan.
