Taiwan has invested enormous resources into the development and application of WiMAX services. The government’s efforts in promoting WiMAX development via the M-Taiwan project is showing positive results. In order to help local manufacturers swiftly obtain international orders, the M-Taiwan Project will award specific certificates to ensure that WiMAX products are interoperable with the M-Taiwan industrial chain. Future plans are to expand this standard globally.
Products that will be awarded the WiMAX certificate include three types of WiMAX Base Stations, and six types of WiMAX mobile terminals. Important guests from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and within the WiMAX industry will be invited to attend this ceremony to witness this significant milestone in WiMAX development.
