In order to direct Taiwan’s communications industry towards autonomous technologies and innovative services, the Executive Yuan has drawn up a “WiMAX Blueprint” officially marking the inclusion of WiMAX within Taiwan’s key developmental industries. This blueprint includes such milestones as spectrum allocation planning, technology development strategies, service and application platform development, standards setup, and testing.
