M-Taiwan project includes “Broadband Pipelines Construction Project” and “M-Taiwan Application Promotion Project”. The broadband pipelines construction project is executed by Ministry of Interior Affairs, responsible for deploying optical fiber pipelines; and the M-Taiwan application promotion project is executed by Ministry of Economic Affairs, responsible for nurturing the information and communication industries by promoting wireless broadband services.

The vision of M-Taiwan Applications Promotion Project is ”Mobile Taiwan, Wireless Application, and Leapinto a New Vision”We focus on the planning and realization of three main topics: mobile services, mobile living, and mobile learning. It is hoped that new applications and services will drive the growth of equipment industry and attract civilian investment for building a wireless broadband network environment where users can access rich digital content anywhere, anytime.,we expect not only telecommunications and communications equipment industries will be encouraged, but also the e-infrastructure of our society will also progress with this Project , thereby enhancing our overall national competitiveness...

From the viewpoint of M-Service, M-Living and M-Learning, we hope to offer the public a variety of wireless broadband application service of living, traffic, education, enjoyment, medical, convenient and shopping.

Mobile Service：From the viewpoint of the government service, we hope to offer a variety of friendly services for the publics and set up 10 mobile cities.

Mobile Living：From the viewpoint of the public living, we hope to offer new living style services, such as living circle, community, medical treatment, etc. as the main service areas.

Mobile Learning： From the viewpoint of the campus service, we hope to offer services of diversified study, mainly on school, museum, cultural center, etc.
